Within the framework of the event, more than 30 agricultural companies from all over the country had the opportunity to receive training and consulting support. Speaking to the audience, Martin Lukyamuzi, Pearl Bank's Regional Director for Greater Kampala, stressed that the agricultural sector is the foundation of the Ugandan economy and the central element of the ATM's government strategy (agroindustrialization, tourism, mining, science, technology and innovation) aimed at increasing the country's GDP from $50 billion to $500 billion by 2040. a year. The educational program was aimed at providing agricultural enterprises with the applied competencies necessary to optimize their work processes and increase their investment attractiveness.

During the training, Ronalds in Africa specialists discussed in detail with the participants the issues of development strategy, corporate governance, system administration, financial control, preparation for raising capital and mastering advanced financial instruments.

The head of the GRO Foundation, Laban Joshua Musinguzi, recommended that agricultural producers focus on demand orientation and deep processing of raw materials in order to successfully resist competition at the global and regional levels. According to him, before allocating funds to production processes, farmers should analyze in detail the specifics of their end users. «Uganda has enormous potential for foreign trade cooperation, but it is critically important for farmers to understand the profile of their customers. Only the introduction of value-adding processes will allow us to effectively compete for positions and make profits from export operations», Musinguzi said.

In addition, the delegates of the event presented real cases of profitable agribusiness development. Upendo Malikia, who heads Machame Farm, described the way to scale the farm from 40 to 1300 acres, achieved through automation, well-established operational processes, strategic alliances, precise financial control and attraction of credit lines from Pearl Bank. She stressed that the expansion of the farm's scale not only increased production volumes, but also provided employment for the population, stimulating socio-economic changes in Nwoya district.

Pearl Bank representatives confirmed their willingness to support the business community through targeted financial instruments and expert assistance aimed at boosting strategically important industries. «Our priority is to develop affordable banking solutions that provide companies with a resource for development, while contributing to employment growth, food stability, trade intensification and the comprehensive progress of Uganda», commented Lukyamuzi. The organization also emphasized that supporting private initiative, particularly in the agricultural sector, is the foundation of their strategy to «Promote the well-being of Ugandan citizens».
