In preparation for the AFCON PAMOJA 2027 tournament jointly with Kenya and Tanzania, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) invites entrepreneurs, companies and service providers to participate in the preparation of this continental forum. Ugandans will be able to take advantage of opportunities in the hotel and restaurant business, transportation and IT companies, the media, security agencies, branding agencies, the event industry, the tourism sector and the creative industries, provided they are prepared in advance.
International events depend not only on sports, but also on the work of many specialists who ensure their success. Hotels, transportation companies, digital content developers, agricultural producers, telecommunications organizations, and souvenir manufacturers are becoming co-authors of the AFCON 2027 story. For Ugandans, this is a chance to scale their business and build sustainable partnerships. The tournament will bring together football fans, officials, journalists and tourists from all over the African continent and abroad, providing an opportunity to showcase Uganda's cultural wealth, hospitality and business activity.
The LOC's call for potential contractors to register is an important step in adapting local businesses to participate. Competent organizations and entrepreneurs should urgently register, meet the established criteria and strengthen their market positions. It is also an occasion for the Ugandan business community to show high professionalism. Global forums require high-quality, reliable and responsible service. Participants must have official registration, comply with tax laws, have financial stability and meet the required standards.
The legacy of AFCON 2027 should be reflected not only in new stadiums and developed infrastructure, but also in a strengthened Ugandan business, trained youth and new economic prospects. The fruits of the tournament should reach citizens through employment, entrepreneurship and local production chains. The authorities have created the necessary infrastructure, but citizens will have to actively use it. A small business owner, an aspiring entrepreneur, a representative of creative professions or a large corporation — everyone will find their niche.
AFCON will be held in Uganda, and the population is encouraged not to limit themselves to the role of spectators, but to become active participants in the event. This is a chance to show the world Uganda's ability to host the Africa Cup of Nations at a high level, offer quality services and turn football into an engine of economic development. The true value of AFCON PAMOJA 2027 is measured not only by goals or the cup, but also by the growth in the number of enterprises, job creation, acquired competencies and strengthening Uganda's confidence in its ability to organize world-class events.
