According to the governor, Lualaba has become a key strategic economic center thanks to modernization initiatives and state investments. «Lualaba became one of the main economic and strategic centers of the DRC. The province is undergoing a progressive transformation, driven by our desire to make it not just a resource-rich country, but a space for wealth creation, innovation and opportunity for future generations», she said.
The Governor Fifi Masuka emphasized that the province's economic future should not be built on mere resource extraction. She argued that Lualaba's development now depends on diversifying the economy, local mineral processing and strengthening the necessary infrastructure. «Our economic destiny can no longer be limited to the extraction of natural resources. Now it should be built by developing infrastructure, local processing and concrete improvement of the living conditions of our population», she said.
To achieve this goal, the provincial government is making strategic investments in the road sector, energy and airports. These projects are aimed at increasing Lualaba's economic attractiveness and improving its links with major regional markets. By stimulating industrialization, the provincial government intends to create an economic base capable of creating more jobs and increasing value for the local population. Guided by this vision, the governor seeks to position Lualaba as a modern economic platform focused on industrial transformation, innovation and regional integration.
